Turnover rate is available as a column option in Rank and Filter by Occupation and Map Occupations. This helps us understand how often roles at a company are turning over. Employers who hire in regions with lower turnover rate will see significant cost savings as they maintain workers for longer.
Talent Analyst Changelog
This filter allows more flexibility in skill filtering. Now you can search for postings or profiles with mixed search logic. If a req or posting has some skills that are required and others that are optional, enter the required skills under “ALL” and the optional skills under “ANY” to find matching results.
Now you can view Job Posting Analytics by city via a toggle on the setup page. This addition also applies to the Job Postings Table.
We’ve added an “Industry” tab to the Job Postings Table so that you can view posting trends by industry. The table will default to 2-digit NAICS industries, which can be changed to 6-digit via the initial setup page.
Type I & Type II Input-Output models are now available in the Impact Scenario. In the video below, an Emsi specialist describes the dos and don’ts of the Input-Output model. These models provide insight into the ripple effects caused by sales revenue gained or lost across various industries.
During a period of economic uncertainty, this insight can be used to project various scenarios before they’ve happened. However, there are a few precautions to keep in mind; for example, this model is structured to show a fixed economy, meaning that it does not take into account factors such as timeframe, politics, or a global pandemic.
Users can now view daily job posting trends in the Job Postings Table. When selecting columns, there is a new “Daily Postings” category that includes the most recent day, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, and 365 days of postings—along with their corresponding % change. This allows users to see exactly which occupations, job titles, companies, etc. are growing or declining in today’s economic climate.
In the Job Posting Analytics report, you can now toggle to view the last 30 days of job posting activity that Emsi has available. This will always show the most recent 30 days available, regardless of your timeframe settings. Further, we show the 30 day trend in comparison to the same 30 days from the previous year to help identify seasonal trends.
Advertised Salary is now available in the Job Postings Table to help you can compare data by job title, occupation, company, or skill. Note that when selecting the Advertised Salary column, you’ll always get the accompanying Salary Observations Count column, which identifies the number of postings with salary data that the median was derived from. This additional transparency helps users be wise about avoiding areas of data that have scarce coverage.
Now in the Company Talent Profile report, users can view employer gain and drain — highlighting which companies are supplying or drawing talent from a specific employer.
